Do you work in a program that serves school-age youth? What systems are in place and what tools & resources do you use to ensure your youth are receiving quality programming, which more positively impacts their development, self-esteem, and school experience?

Accreditation is unique in that it guides programs through creating a new way of being. It utilizes a team-driven approach to program assessment, reflection on practices, goal setting, and committing to a mindset and culture of continuous improvement.

What is the Minnesota Afterschool Accreditation Program (MAAP), run by MnSACA? How does it connect to DHS certification and licensure, and how does it go above and beyond these regulatory bodies? Why would you choose MAAP over another system of quality? How does going through accreditation positively impact staff, youth, families, and even your community?

We invite you to get these questions answered and more at one of our MAAP Informational Sessions this week. Register by Tuesday, February 25! A recording of the webinar will also be available on our website for later viewing.

Wednesday, February 26 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Begin Your Program's Accreditation Journey This Spring

MAAP is a voluntary process providing a tangible and marketable endorsement (recognized by the state!) of quality in programs serving school-age youth. MnSACA's mission of promoting quality programs and supporting the leadership and development of professionals is embedded in the MAAP tool. Being a locally-run program, MnSACA is able to provide multiple opportunities for in-person support, training and guidance to sites going through the process, and ongoing after they earn their endorsement.

We look forward to working with your program on your continuous quality improvement journey!

Calling MAAP Coaches

Coaches play a crucial role in the accreditation process through observing program practices, providing feedback that guides programs toward improvement efforts, and supporting programs toward successful completion of their accreditation journey.

We are excited to offer a variety of professional development opportunities for those wishing to support programs going through MAAP accreditation, including our MAAP Coaching training on March 13.
