Administering a high-quality early childhood program is an awesome responsibility, one that requires specialized knowledge and skills. Perhaps you feel like your education and experience may not have fully prepared you for your current position. Perhaps you are an experienced administrator that struggles to find professional development that truly meets your needs. Perhaps you've never envisioned yourself in this leadership role. Whatever your story, we welcome you to join us for a leadership series designed especially for you!

This series is a cohort learning model for early childhood directors, assistant directors and other program leaders who are looking to advance their career. It includes a combination of trainings and Communities of Practice (COPs). Both the trainings and COPs will be interactive and relevant, designed to match your current professional development needs and goals.

  • The trainings in this series were developed by MnAEYC-MnSACA staff and our partners. Each training is an approved course in Develop.  
  • Communities of Practice (COPs) are facilitated networking groups. They are a wonderful opportunity to come together with other professionals in the field to share ideas, challenges, accomplishments, and best practice. Content and topics for each COP will be customized to meet the needs and interests of you and your fellow cohort members. Relationship-Based Professional Development (RBPD) hours will be given in Develop for attending the COPs.

Because of the cohort nature of this series, and in order to make it the most valuable professional development experience possible, it is recommended that you commit to attending all trainings and COPs throughout the series. No refunds are given for missed trainings or COPs.
