We’re excited to announce Sasha Aslanian, veteran journalist and creator of the Young Reporters project for MPR News, will be Saturday’s keynote!

Creating Connections through Storytelling

In a time of snap judgments and knee-jerk commentary, meaningful connections feel few and far between. Sasha Aslanian will play clips of what happened when she gave microphones to young people and invited them to tell stories that mattered to them. This keynote will examine why such intimate stories move us so profoundly and help us appreciate our common humanity.

With Dr. Artika Tyner providing practical guidance on Friday about how to embrace your unique leadership qualities, foster your leadership development, and make a difference in the world, you’ll have an amazing opportunity with these two keynotes to reconnect with yourself, with new and former colleagues, and come away with renewed purpose.

Thanksgiving Week Registration Deal

To celebrate Thanksgiving and the great game of bowling, (as one does), we are offering you a special “turkey” group discount.

As many of you know, when you bowl a strike three times in a row, it's called a turkey, so for this week only, instead of needing 8 or more people to register to receive the group discount, you only need 3! What a deal!

How can you save?

  1. Take advantage of the "turkey" group discount the week of November 20 only. To receive this discount you must use the conference group registration form and send in registration forms for each person in your group at the same time along with payment.
  2. The early bird deadline of Friday, December 1 is creeping closer, so don't delay and register today.
  3. You can save more by becoming a member of either MnAEYC and/or MnSACA. Visit www.mnaeyc-mnsaca.org/membership for more information.
  4. Attend both days as a member.

Help Us Recognize Good Work

We need your help! We invite you to take a few minutes to nominate a colleague or an organization that you know is making a difference in the lives of children and families and/or to the early childhood or afterschool fields.

Professionals in the fields of early childhood and afterschool make outstanding contributions every day in the lives of children and their families. Their work is a life of service. We know how valuable they are and we think it’s important to recognize and honor these contributions. Each year at our Annual State Conference individuals and organizations are recognized for their contributions to the early childhood and afterschool fields.
