A high-quality afterschool program plans and implements curriculum and activities that support youth development and engagement. It also offers an environment that is safe and accessible and promotes youth development across domains. An environment is most effective when the layout of indoor and outdoor spaces is strategic, and equipment and materials are chosen that will best support all areas of youth development.
In this session, we will explore best practices in program curriculum & environments by breaking down the Minnesota Afterschool Accreditation Program (MAAP) Activities & Environment Quality Standards and Indicators. Participants will better understand the importance of exercising these best practices in order to build a high-quality afterschool program, and leave with ideas for program implementation.
If you would like to register two or more people for this training, please download the group registration form here, and follow the directions provided.
