Promoting Positive Youth Development
The Minnesota School-Age Care Alliance (MnSACA) is a proud state affiliate of the National Afterschool Association (NAA). Our mission is to promote quality afterschool programs and support the leadership and development of school-age care professionals.
The Minnesota Afterschool Accreditation Program (MAAP) is a state-approved accreditation, developed by MnSACA to promote the highest level of quality programming for school-age and afterschool care.
MAAP is the ultimate indicator of quality in out-of-school time programs. It provides out-of-school time professionals with performance indicators to guide in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. More than 40 programs are already MAAP accredited and many more are in process.
